Hello World

Hi! I'm Maggie, a computer engineering student at the University of Waterloo.

About

Maggie doesn’t want to simply settle into one aspect of life, instead she chooses to engage in as many disciplines as possible. She is thoroughly fascinated by the beauty of math and science, intrigued by philosophy and psychology, passionate about social justice and up to date with current issues. You might find her running between different engineering classrooms, engaging in a heated debate, pondering over the earthworms on the sidewalk, or getting lost in her own world.

Projects

Wind Tunnel
Java
Arduino
AutoCAD
Windtunnel which measures wind spead, force of lift and drag on air foil through Arduino Mega. User could control angle of attack and wind speed through Java GUI.
Advanced Game of Life
Java
An apocalyptic spin on Conway's Game of Life. A simulation game which tracks the interaction between 6 classes of species. User can edit game landscape (sandbox), watch simulation run over generations, and load preset conditions.
3rd Degree Polynomial Fit
C++
Maple
Given a dataset of corresponding X and Y values, compute a 3rd degree polynomial fit for the given data set using least-squared route and vandermonde matrix.
Fast Fourier Transform
Maple
Fast-Fourier-Transform of a step function using incrementing number of terms. Created as an algebraic animation using elementary functions such as summation, sine, etc.
